First-of-a-kind offtake deal nets $10Mn at historic, $100 per tonne price point — targeting 2030 deployments

Today, alongside the carbon removal team at Google, we’re sharing our first-of-its-kind, record setting direct air capture offtake agreement with the world.

A $10Mn agreement to deliver $100 per ton carbon removal services in the early 2030s. Raising the industry ambition for a future where DAC plays a meaningful role in net zero.

This is Google’s first bi-lateral, carbon removal services agreement to date. It is also the first DAC offtake agreement on record at this scale for $100 per tonne – the industry’s long-term ambition.

This deal required two special organizations to collectively define the future that they believed was possible, and build a contract to represent that future and a path thereto.

We are beyond thrilled to enter this nearly-decade shared commitment with Google, who has a one-of-a-kind track record for building new climate industries on the buy-side through their work in the renewable energy space.

The team at Google put a lot of work into sharing this news with the world, we’ll let their efforts do the talking.
